Vacations with a Purpose: Touring Homes and Expanding Our Real Estate Network
Adam and I are so passionate about real estate, that even on vacation, we find ourselves touring local open homes, visiting real estate offices, and connecting with agents we meet along the way. And I continue to build our agent referral network through my podcast, Mastering The Art of Real Estate, where I interview guests from around the world. Last summer I was able to refer a listing to a colleague with The Corcoran Group, in Southampton. I don’t always have the opportunity to make the introductions in person, but that time I did.
Our Personalized Tour of The Magnificent, Beauty, that is, Costa Palmas
Picked up by a private driver in the prestigious Pedregal community where we rented an Airbnb, we drove a few hours to Costa Palmas, which is located on the calm shores of the Sea of Cortez and is home to Aman, Casa Blake and the Four Seasons Resort, including multiple 9,000 square foot homes with pools overlooking the beaches and rolling dunes; the homes and environment reminiscent of the Hamptons on Long Island, New York. The East Cape is unique because it is swimmable and off of the hurricane pathways. Who can afford such jewels? A Forbes family member and an Irish billionaire, among others. There’s a marina, a lush golf course, plus many luxury amenities — pools, watercrafts, 5-star restaurants, plus a Moroccan-designed nightclub.
Exploring New Developments in Nayarit
On a recent trip to the Pacific Coast of Mexico for a 3 day wedding extravaganza, we took one day off to visit a magnificent new development called NAUKA, which is located in the state of Nayarit, about an hour outside Puerto Vallarta. NAUKA is an 800-acre untouched paradise of waterfront and jungle, featuring a private club community that blends nature, adventure, cuisine, and culture. It includes Tom Fazio golf courses and a Ritz-Carlton Reserve. If you’d like to explore this incredibly beautiful and serene development, we’d be happy to connect you with our friend, Bryan Warga, Senior Real Estate Advisor.
Los Cabos: An American Hub
Los Cabos attracts many American buyers, particularly from Texas, California, Washington, and Arizona due to the close proximity by flight. It had been 8 years since visiting Cabo, as the designated chaperones of 10 energetic high school grads! I cherish this photo of the smiling boys and the additional 9 Piedmont gals we took aboard the catamaran as we sailed past the infamous Cabo arch. After an eight-year hiatus, we came back to explore the bustling real estate market. We toured various communities, properties, and resorts, with prices ranging from $300K to over $42M! Baja is rapidly growing, with buyers flocking to invest and live there.
